The C-Word

If you ever wonder what happens to the set after the curtain falls for the final time on a show, it mostly gets thrown away or broken down to be reused but othertimes, those working in the theater can take a piece of history home. This piece of carpet from 2019’s “The C Word” by Olivia LeSeur stands as the welcome mat outside my door. The mirror’s are from 2022’s “1000 Airplanes on the Roof” by Phillip Glass. The irony is, out of all the shows I’ve been in, I was in neither of these, I was merely working in the building at the time. Though it’s quiet fun to look at these random scraps of garbage and tell people they’re theater memorabilia. Even then, they’re a fun reminder of the shows I was in and the friends I made along the way.
