I know many people who, upon breaking up with their significant other, throw out anything they gave them. I ask, why? Even if things ended less than amicably it doesn’t make the happy memories go away. Appreciate the time you had with that person. It’s ok to move on and accept that such memories still happened. In my case, my keeping it is largely because regardless of how things went, you can never really let go of the appreciation of a well-thought out gift.
