This champagne or…I’m sorry ”sparkling wine” cork as my pedantic brother likes to remind me, is emblematic of perhaps one of my favorite college memories. The day  my friends and I won our elections to become the board of the Duquesne Red Masquers. Running on the indisputably true campaign slogan “A Vote for Us is a Vote for Us” we weathered a tight and contentious race, placing all of our hopes in all four of us getting elected. I mean, how awkward would it have been if just one of us lost?  It was a special relief to me, as aside from the money I spent on the celebration Cham-”sparkling wine” being worth it, I no longer had to spend long nights pouring over spreadsheets I created to run simulations of election scenarios that only existed in my head.
